Annan: Iraqi War Threatens Overpaid UN
Bureaucrats
New
York - UN Chief Kofi Annan today denounced the United States and said
that the War against Iraq threatens the security and pampered
lifestyles of overpaid UN bureaucrats.
"The longer the Iraqi War
continues the more precarious become the pensions, living allowances
and grotesquely inflated salaries of UN officials," said Mr. Annan
during a press conference at his luxury New York penthouse apartment
that is worth more than the annual GNP of his native country of Ghana.
"We're talking about a
humanitarian crisis of monumental proportions," said Mr. Annan. "Most
of the people who work for the UN are so stupid and lazy they couldn't
get a job in the real world. I mean, where else but the UN can a
former chief of the Haitian Secret Police get a job as Chairman of the
Commission on Human Rights?"

Headquarters in New York City.
